"The Debut" World Premiere tickets are on sale!

That's right, tickets to "The Debut" World Premiere in Los Angeles are now on sale at Visual Communications, the nation's premier Asian Pacific American Media Arts Center. Call them today at (213) 680-4462 ext. 58 to order yours!

This marks the first time in its 15 year history that a Filipino-themed production has been chosen as the Opening Night Attraction of the Visual Communications L.A. Asian Pacific Film & Video Festival ... Woo-hoo! Come on out and join us for this truly historic event - all are welcome!

Each ticket includes:

  • the very first screening of "The Debut" anywhere, in a large, beautiful theatre with an excellent sound system
  • a reception sponsored by iJeepney.com with hors d'oeuvres, drinks and entertainment provided by DJ's Icy Ice and E-man
  • admission to the Official Afterparty at the Arena in Hollywood, sponsored by AsianAvenue.com

In addition to yours truly, scheduled to attend from "The Debut" cast and crew are the Basco Brothers, Tirso Cruz III, actresses Bernadette Balagtas and Joy Bisco, and Co-Writer/Associate Producer/all around nice guy John Manal Castro.

We are also expecting a number of artists from the soundtrack to be at the World Premiere, including R&B groups DNH, Devotion, and Premiere, singers Emm Gryner and Freda Simone, and Heavy Metal band Basement 31, to name a few. And to top it off, our MC for the evening will be Filipino American stand-up comedian Rex Navarrete. So tell your friends and come on out, it's going to be a quite an evening!

Sponsored by the comprehensive new multimedia web destination for Filipinos, iJeepney.com, World Premiere ticket prices range from $25 for students to $100 for the VIP dinner and premium seating. The screening starts at 7:30 pm sharp on Thursday evening, May 18th. The venue is the Director's Guild of America theatre on Sunset & Fairfax in Hollywood. Call soon, 'cause these tickets won't last!

In addition to all the festivities at the DGA, everyone is welcome to join us at the Official "Debut" Afterparty at The Arena in Hollywood! Sponsored by AsianAvenue.com, the largest online community for Asian Americans, and hosted by the 21XL Events Company, the Afterparty is sure to be a slammin' event! In addition to meeting all the celebs from the Premiere screening, you'll also be able to check out a special performance by hot R&B group DNH!

Featured on the film soundtrack for "The Debut," Classified Recording artists DNH also have their debut album "Drop N Harmony" hitting record shelves in June.

For those who are not coming directly from the Premiere screening, tickets to the 18-and-over Afterparty will be $12. The Arena is located on the corner of Santa Monica and Las Palmas in Hollywood, one block east of Highland. Capacity is limited, and we expect a sold out evening, so come early - doors open at 9 pm.

It's going to be a memorable evening as we celebrate the completion of "The Debut." 8 years of non-stop work deserves a huge party, so please come on out and join us to commemorate this historic event!

We'll see you there!

Peace,

Gene Cajayon
